Media Monitoring Club Profile.
BACK GROUND.
The founder of this listeners club has been listening to the shortwave radio stations since 1996, then became Program Monitor for Radio Japan NHK World since 2001, Technical Monitor for KBS World Radio (Radio Korea International) since 2002, Radio Taiwan International since 2004, and Deutsche Welle since 2005.
After listening to the shortwave radio stations over nine years long, the founder of this listeners club have friends more than 400 persons. The founder thinks that if the 400 persons organized by one organization, then this club will be a big community.
One of the background establishments of the club is considering that in the globalization era of information, information could be reach very quickly whenever wherever we are; meanwhile shortwave radio listeners still more, because through shortwave radio we could receive information from various parts of the world quickly and cheaply.
We make an effort so that the shortwave radios continue to exist. The existence of shortwave radio that definitely was supported by the quite decisive factor, that is listeners. Without listeners, the shortwave radio will not exist.
We try to found/establish this club to gather members from readers, listeners, viewers and netter of media so that the media communication specially shortwave radio still exist to increase our knowledge and serve us information from all of viewpoint.
And, considering that many friends agreed, and then we establish Media Monitoring Club.
THE PRINCIPLE OF MEDIA MONITORING CLUB.
Help each other in the difficulty and keep each other in the way of truth.

THE AIM OF MEDIA MONITORING CLUB:
1. To share information about shortwave radio.
2. To share information about various things.
3. To share information about business or to make business network.
4. As interpersonal connecting bridge listeners, between listeners and international radio, and between international radio and national radio.
NUMBER OF MEMBERS:
103 members from Indonesia, Taiwan, United Arab Emirates, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and Oman.
CLUB ACTIVITIES.
1. Active in member recruitment.
2. Each member will introduce by us to all international radio to be recommended so that they could be sent the program/broadcast schedule, brochure, souvenir, and other. And the reverse, we will give them the addition of information about international radio.
3. Since July 2006, we published bulletin each month to give members additional information about media, business, and pen pal.

1. Listener’s audience with Enny Wibowo from Radio Australia on November 29, 2005 in Jl. Galangan Kapal I No. 20 Makassar Indonesia.
2. Design logo of Media Monitoring Club Contest from February 1, 2006 to March 30, 2006 for the occasion of 1st anniversary of Media Monitoring Club.
3. Polling: The favorite radio station from February 1, 2007 to March 30, 2007 for the occasion of 2nd anniversary of Media Monitoring Club.
4. Discussion group with Trevor Harrison from Asianstrategies.com Australia, organized by Taylor Nelson Sofres on July 8, 2007 in Makassar Golden Hotel.
5. Polling: The best shortwave frequency, from February 1, 2008 to Marc 30, 2008 for the occasion of 3rd anniversary of Media Monitoring Club.
