RSI will end transmission on July 31

The Media Monitoring Club and all the SW radio listeners are sorrowful upper would the closure of the shortwave broadcast of RSI. This is a failure of the listeners clubs as a listeners' motivator to active and dedicated in shortwave radio. After the closing of the broadcast of Indonesian service of Radio Veritas Asia, and the closing of several language broadcasts in Radio Japan NHK World, and Radio Singapore International will end transmission on July 31.
Although, that is decisive of RSI, listeners only assets, not the owner and policy makers.
Mediacorp consideration as the main of RSI does not see the effectiveness of the Shortwave radio broadcast has diminished over time, with changing technology and media consumption habits.

Although the RSI broadcast will closed, we hope communication between us still continues, and definitely RSI cannot be forgotten by us.
